British Airways keeps daily Gatwick-Paphos in winter to Cyprus

British Airways marked its decision to maintain daily direct flights between Gatwick and Paphos throughout the winter with a special event in London.
BA representative Alison Nicholls and the airline’s Country Commercial Manager Cyprus, Marianna Trokoudes, emphasised the importance of this strategic decision at a time when the economic crisis is impacting the aviation industry and elaborated on future actions, such as increased promotion of the route and the destination.
George Leptos, President of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and the town’s Regional Board of Tourism, thanked British Airways for the decision to maintain daily flights and said that Paphos’ lie in its hotel infrastructure and the many other tourist projects that make it a high quality destination.
With the new winter schedule, flights on Mondays and Tuesdays depart from Gatwick at 0900 arriving in Paphos at 1530. Wednesday to Sunday, the flights leave Gatwick at 1050 and arrive in Paphos at 1720. On Mondays and Tuesdays, return flights leave Paphos at 1625 and arrive in Gatwick at 1910. From Wednesday to Sunday, the flights depart from Paphos at 1815 and arrive in Gatwick at 2100.
