Stavros Malas is special adviser to Commissioner Vassiliou

The European Commission has accepted the designation of Stavros Malas to the post of special adviser to EU Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou.
Malas is entrusted with the mandate to explore ways on how to set and run EU Networks of Centres of reference in public health, in particular in the treatment of rare diseases.
He has a broad academic and working experience on the field of medical research and genetics. He speaks English and Greek.
