Cyprus GDP for 2007 at EUR 15.6 bln

The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Cyprus during 2007 reached EUR 15.59 bln based on current prices compared to EUR 14.43 bln in 2006 according to revised estimates by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.
At constant prices (of 2000) GDP for 2007 is revised to EUR 12.59 bln from EUR 12.06 bln in 2006.
The growth rate in real terms is estimated at 4.4% in 2007 vs. 4.1% in 2006.
The revision in estimates is due to the incorporation of latest figures concerning
General Government (minor revisions in Government Consumption and taxes) and
the Balance of Payments (revisions to Exports and Imports of goods and services).
