Cyprus construction prices come off highs in August

Construction materials prices eased slightly in August, rising by 16.3% over the same month of 2007, compared with an increase of 16.9% in July.
August was also the month in which consumer price inflation eased.
Petroleum prices have pushed up construction costs in 2008.
For the period January-August 2008, the construction materials price index recorded an increase of 11.97% over the corresponding period of the previous year, having risen by only 5.3% in 2007.
