Cyprus President to meet Greek FM in New York

President of the Republic of Cyprus, Demetris Christofias, will meet in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis.

According to a press release of the Greek Foreign Ministry, Bakoyannis will leave Saturday for New York to participate in the 63rd UN General Assembly.

On the sidelines of the Assembly, the Greek Foreign Minister will meet President Christofias as well as UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, with whom she will discuss the latest developments regarding the Cyprus issue.

The meeting with the Cypriot President will take place September 23rd.

Bakoyannis will also hold a series of meetings ahead of Greece’s assumption of the presidency of the Organisation for the Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to discuss Greece’s priorities.
