Hellenic Bank expects better results

Hellenic Bank Public Company Ltd announced that the increase in the profitability of in the last quarter of 2007 is in line with the profitability of the first nine months of 2007, while the profitability for the full year 2007 will show improvement compared to 2006.
The increase is attributable to the improvement of the loan portfolio, the improvement of the quality of the loan portfolio and the profits that resulted from the acquisition of Athena Cyprus Public Company Ltd within the framework of the Group’s restructuring. Also, despite the drop in profits from the revaluation of financial assets, there was an increase in the profits from the sale and revaluation of securities.
