Cyprus trade deficit at CYP 2.5 bln in Jan-Oct 07

The Statistical Service of Cyprus has announced the publication of the monthly report “Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for October 2007.

The main developments in Cyprus foreign trade were as follows.

The trade deficit was CYP 2,503.6 mln in January-October 2007 compared with CYP 2,149.9 mln in January-October 2006.

Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states) in January-October 2007 amounted to CYP 3,040.4 mln, compared with CYP 2,687.8 mln in January-October 2006.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states) in January-October 2007 reached CYP 536.8 mln compared with CYP 537.9 mln in January-October 2006.

 

October 2007

During October 2007 total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other Member States) were valued at CYP 343.4 mln.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other Member States), including stores and provisions, in October 2007 amounted to CYP 57.8 mln.

Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, reached CYP 28.9 mln.
