7 mln passengers to travel through Larnaka and Pafos Airports in 2007

Over 6,600,000 passengers traveled through Larnaka and Pafos International Airports from the beginning of 2007 until the end of November 2007, according to the latest passenger figures, a press release issued by Hermes airports said.
According to the press release, this figure puts Cyprus on track for a new record for 2007, with just under 7 million passengers. The previous record was in 2005 with 6,781,643 passengers. Over five million passengers have traveled through Larnaka International Airport from the beginning of the year until the end of November – a figure higher than the total yearly figure for 2006.
Hermes Airports Ltd recorded another strong month in November for passenger traffic. The press release said that nearly 365,000 passengers traveled through the two airports, a number which represents a 4.3% increase compared to November 2006. At Larnaka International Airport, passenger traffic increased by more than 7% during November 2006.
Jenni Fernando, Manager, Marketing for Hermes Airports Ltd, said “we are very pleased to see this strong traffic performance for November, and look forward to hitting a new record for 2007 passenger figures”.
