Local demand supported the Cypriot brewing industry in 2007, with issues of beers for local consumption up by 5.9% year on year in January-November to 36,974,671 litres.

Cypriot brewers produce KEO and brands thereof, as well as locally produced Carlsberg.

The exporting sector performed poorly, however, with issues for beer for export down by 10.6% to 1,107,265.

Total issues of beers rose therefore by 5.3% to 38,081,936 litres.
