Cypriot MP to attend drug report presentation

President of the Committee on Criminality and the Combating of Drugs and Addictive Substances of the House of Representatives Costas Papacostas will be departing on Tuesday for Brussels, to attend the presentation of the annual report of the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction on the situation of drugs in the EU.

The report will be presented by the Centre’s Director Wolfgang Gotz, in the framework of the meeting of the European Parliament Committee on Political Freedoms, Justice and Internal Affairs, on Wednesday.

The Centre is an EU service responsible for collecting, analysing and propagating objective, reliable and comparative information regarding drugs and drug addiction in the EU.

The report is presented annually to MEPs and members of national parliaments.
