Nokia Search, the application for searching and finding almost anything, almost anywhere, is all new and improved. Over the past two years, Nokia Search has steadily swelled, increasing its users by 22% every month, with the number of searches made by those users up 24% on a monthly basis. Building on that momentum, Nokia Search has an array of new local search providers, available in 15 countries across Latin America from today. So, now you can trek through almost 40 countries around the world with Nokia Search as your search-and-find-it companion on your compatible Nokia device.

Three new local search providers are joining the Nokia Search family, now spanning 38 countries worldwide. In Latin America, people can search and access local directory content by Publicar (www.paginasamarillas.com) in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Venezuela,  and with www.Listaonline.com.br in Brazil and Seccion Amarilla (www.seccionamarilla.com) in Mexico. Nokia Search also has web content and local directory content search available for an additional 23 countries.

“We’re on a mission to bring everyone the ultimate search capabilities, whether locally or on the web,” says Jussi-Pekka Partanen, head of Nokia Search, Multimedia, Nokia. “With the additions of our new local search providers and the new seamlessly integrated features of Nokia Search on even more devices, we’re fast on the road to that goal.”

Thanks to easy accessibility directly from the main display on your device*, you can go straight to Nokia Search or even locate content stored on your device with ‘My Content’ search. Find anything from emails, messages and contacts to your media content seamlessly – browse through your content in categories or by typing in a keyword.

Nokia Search is integrated with Nokia Maps on select Nokia devices, so when you decide on that exclusive restaurant in your chosen country, Nokia Maps can guide you there – just click on the ‘show on map’ icon.

More people than ever before can access and enjoy Nokia Search, now that S40 devices have been added to the mix – Nokia Search is preinstalled on the 7900 Prism, 6500 Classic, 6500 Slide, 5610 XpressMusic and 5310 XpressMusic, with more to come.
