The Financial and Statistics Committee meeting of the International Water Association took place in Limassol, where members from Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Holland, Spain and Switzerland, discussed cost and pricing of recycled water, as well as supply and consumption data.

Socrates Metaxas, Director of the host Limassol Water Board, said that the meeting produced an exchange of ideas and experiences, in addition to the main subject on the agenda which was the financial management and pricing policies of water utilities.

The committee also prepared the ground for the IWA world congress to be held in Vienna in September 2008, where at least 3,000 professionals from the water supply sector will attend.

The IWA comprises 10,000 individual and 400 corporate members from 130 countries.
