Cyprus trade deficit widens to CYP 1.4 bln in H1

The Statistical Service of Cyprus has published the detailed monthly report entitled “Intra-Extra E.U Trade Statistics (Summarised Data)” for June 2007.

Total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states) in January-June 2007 amounted to CYP 1,721.1 mln, compared with CYP 1,614.3 mln in January-June 2006.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states) in January-June 2007 reached CYP 336.0 mln, compared with CYP 343.8 mln in January-June 2006.

The trade deficit was CYP 1,385.0 mln in January-June 2007 compared with CYP 1,270.5 mln in January-June 2006.

During June 2007 total imports/arrivals (covering total imports from third countries and arrivals from other member states) were valued at CYP 316.0 mln.

Total exports/dispatches (covering total exports to third countries and dispatches to other member states), including stores and provisions, in June 2007 amounted to CYP 60.7 mln.

Εxports/dispatches of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, reached CYP 29.4 mln and exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, reached CYP 31.3 mln.
