Commerce Minister to pay official visit to Moldova

Cyprus Commerce, Industry and Tourism Minister Antonis Michaelides will pay a three day official visit to Moldova, at the invitation of its Minister of Economy and Commerce Igor Dodon.

Michaelides, who leaves for Moldova Tuesday, will have a meeting with Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev. During his meetings with Dodon and the Ministers of Industry and Infrastructure, and Culture and Tourism he will discuss ways to cooperate in these sectors, aiming at developing further bilateral relations between the two countries.

During Michaelides’ visit, Cyprus and Moldova are expected to sign Agreements on the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investment and on bilateral cooperation in tourism.

Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE) organises during the visit, in cooperation with the Chamber of Moldavia, a seminar for the promotion of Cyprus as a business centre providing services. Michaelides and Dodon will address the seminar.

Michaelides and his entourage will return home Saturday.
