Baghdatis advances to Wimbledon quarter finals

Cypriot tennis player, Marcos Bagdhatis, swept aside sixth seed Nikolay Davydenko 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, on Court 13 during the 4th round of the Wimbledon 2007 Championships, securing his place in the quarter-finals for the second year running.
In a match that would not have been out of place in a football stadium given the noise from his army of fans, according to the Wimbledon website, Baghdatis, ranked 16 in the world, faced the world number four on the other side of the net who last year beat the 22-year-old Cypriot in their one and only meeting in Miami.
Baghdatis will now face Novak Djokovic in the next round.
