Cyprus industrial output prices up 2.7% in Jan-April

Electricity prices drop

 

The industrial output price index reached 124.3 (base 2000 = 100) in April 2007, recording and increase of 0.8% compared with March 2007.

In the four-month period January-April 2007, the index increased by 2.7% compared with the same period of the previous year.

Manufacturing output prices in this period rose by 3.6% compared with January-April 2006, mining and quarrying prices by 4.5%, while electricity, gas and water prices fell by 3.0%, primarily because of a 3.9% drop in electricity prices, which are heavily influenced by international oil prices.
