Cyprus water transport up 39% y/y in first quarter

The main developments in transport and communications activity by value in the first quarter of 2007 were as follows.

Land transport activity increased by 5.4% compared with the corresponding period of 2006.

Water transport turnover value increased by 39.0% in the first quarter of 2007 compared with the corresponding quarter of 2006.

Air transport increased by 12.4%.

Telecommunication turnover value increased by 15.4% compared with the corresponding period of 2006.
