Secure Computing Corporation, an international provider of enterprise gateway security, will be launching a seminar road show to promote enhanced security solutions among IT professionals and IT security decision makers from April 1-8 in Riyadh, Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai and Cairo.  The move comes as malicious activity in the form of spam, worms, botnets and phishers evade traditional IT security measures to threaten financial and networked data.

“The advanced technology used by hackers and phishers erodes basic network defenses and can enter, disrupt or even take over corporate networks, effectively destroying an organization from the inside out,” said Sami Mulla, Director, Middle East, Secure Computing.

The invitation-only events will feature specialist speakers who will discuss the latest trends and developments in solutions for securing networks.  The five conferences, being held in five countries, will also address web gateway security, messaging gateway security, network gateway security and identity access management as well as addressing the benefits of having a global reputation based intelligence system at the core of the security infrastructure.

Secure Computing has launched the awareness campaign in light of reliable predictions that indicate a drastic increase in malicious activity, such as zombies and spam, leading to large amounts of junk emails, personal cloning and loss of security.  The targeted attacks against organisations and individuals, more prevalent as threats become stealthier and harder to identify, will have devastating regional impacts including a loss of trust in online and networked security.
