Marfin Popular denies Attica Bank bid

Marfin Popular Bank has categorically dismissed a report that appeared in the “Economy” inset of “Kyriakatiki Eleftherotypia (February 25, 2007) under the title “Interest of Marfin for Attica Bank.”

As for the alleged information according to which “at his meeting with Attica Bank governor, Mr. Kolintzas, Mr. Vgenopoulos expressed his interest for the acquisition of shares (10%) that the Greek Postal Savings Bank holds”, it is clarified that there has been no meeting between Vgenopoulos and Kolintzas on the issue.
