Cyprus Chamber: All you need to know about the euro in 3 hours

The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE) and the European Information Centre (EIC CY-691) are repeating the seminar on “Learn about the euro in three hours” due to popular demand, in Nicosia on Wednesday, March 14.

The seminar is geared towards business people and enterprises that need to know how to make the transition and how it will affect their companies.

The issues raised during the seminar include the ‘adoption calendar’ and important dates to follow; the double pricing and the exceptions; the parallel introduction of the Cyprus pound and the euro and what this means to companies; the rules for adjustment and rounding-up; financing and post-dated cheques; the affect on labour agreements; legal aspects of the adoption; calculating the impact on your company; what provisions should be made at every operation of a company (production, marketing, sales, distribution, accounting, IT, human resources, legal, administration); the right transition plan; and, the right approach and benefits from the euro.

The seminar will take place from 3.30 to 6.45pm, including a break, and will be presented by KEVE’s Director of Training and Development, leonidas Paschalides who handles all euro-related issues within the Chamber and is a member of the Cyprus Euro Team.
