Finikas books higher profits, subject of bid

Finikas Amochostou Investments Pcl (FIA) reported its preliminary 2006 results with net profit rising to CYP 465.327 or EUR 805.064 from CYP 281.646 or EUR 487.277 in 2005.

Earnings per share surged to 18.613 Cyprus cents from 11.26 cent a year ago.

Meanwhile the Board of Directors said it has became aware of the Public Offer submitted by Confine Investments Public Ltd and decided to assign the examination and evaluation of the public offer to independent valuators, pursuant to the relevant legislation.
