Cyprus trade deficit at around CYP 2.3 bln in Jan-November

On the basis of preliminary estimates for foreign trade in November 2006, total imports/ arrivals were CYP 275.1 mln, of which CYP 194.6 mln were arrivals from other member states of EU and CYP 80.5 mln imports from third countries.

Total exports/dispatches were CYP 62.7 mln, of which CYP 38.8 mln were dispatches to other member states of EU and CYP 23.9 mln exports to third countries.

This resulted in a trade deficit of CYP 212.4 mln, bringing the cumulative deficit for the year to around CYP 2.3 bln.
