Microsoft to launch gaming mouse, accessories in Mideast

Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices (E&D) Division has announced plans to launch in the Middle East, the Microsoft Habu Mouse, the Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 keyboard and the Microsoft Fingerprint Reader, which form the latest additions to its new line-up of computer accessories and peripherals.

Combining Microsoft’s innovation and ergonomic design with Razer’s industry-leading gaming technology, the new Habu gaming mouse ensures dynamic movement enhancing aim and tracking ability, and thus elevating quality and overall gaming experience for users. The Habu’s data path was opened from eight to 16 bits and features an advanced 2,000 DPI laser sensor, yielding an ideal gaming mouse with virtually no skipping or pixel jumping or negative acceleration.

The Habu Mouse features interchangeable side button panels; 2,000 DPI Laser Engine that delivers super-fast response time; always-on mode; high-speed motion detection; seven programmable buttons with latency-reducing Hyperesponse technology; on-board profile memory; ultra-slick Teflon feet for smooth and quiet gliding; and thin, flexible wire providing gamers with the speed of a wired mouse with the feel of a wireless device.

Microsoft’s Wireless Laser Desktop 6000 is a sleek, ultra-thin comfort curve keyboard that allows natural hand and wrist positioning that makes for a high level of comfort and productivity. It comes included with a high definition laser mouse which adds greater performance, precision and accuracy.

Other features include a battery status indicator; 4-way scrolling for greater efficiency and comfort with Tilt Wheel Technology; customisable hot keys; High Definition Laser Technology that ensures precision, more responsiveness and delivers smoother tracking; instant viewing; longer battery life; magnifier; ultra-thin Comfort Curve design; detachable and cushioned palm rest.

Microsoft’s Fingerprint Reader comes in a small and efficient design, bringing simplicity, style and latest technology to the desktop. The biometric device replaces passwords, allowing users to log on to their PCs and their favourite Web sites with just a registered fingerprint, without having to remember passwords and usernames.

The Fingerprint Reader allows for switching between user accounts without closing programmes and files. It brings the added ease of use in logging into websites where the user does not want to save the password and its Registration Wizard and software make it quick and easy to set-up. Compatible with Microsoft Windows-based operating systems, the Fingerprint Reader supports Internet Explorer 6.0, MSN Explorer 8.0 and 9.0, CD-ROM drive, USB Port and can be integrated into some of Microsoft’s latest keyboard and mouse products.
