Iacovou appointed High Commissioner of Cyprus to UK

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs George Iacovou has been appointed High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to the United Kingdom.
According to an official press release, the British government has given its consent for Iacovou’s appointment and he will be departing for London today.
Iacovou had served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 22 September 1983 until 28 February 1993, and from 3 March 2003 until 14 June 2006.
