Equal Opportunities for Men and Women in Business

The Federation of Business and Professional Women in Cyprus (KOGEE) is organising a seminar which will be held on Thursday, October 12, at the Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia.

The theme is “Equality in Practice: Equal Opportunities for Men and Women in Business” and is being co-organised by the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEV) and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KEVE).

Following the introductory speeches by Justice Minister Sophocles Sophocleous, OEV General Manager Michalis Pilikos, KEVE President Manthos Mavrommatis and KOGEE President Elena Tanou-Ellinas, the main speakers will be Chr. Vasila who will present the results of a survey conducted by OEV on “Women and Senior Management Positions in Banks”.

This will be followed by Evgenia Tsoumani, General Secretary of the Secretariat on Equality within the Interior Ministry of Greece who will elaborate on “Equal Opportunities for Men and Women in Businesses”.

The final presentation will be by Marianna Trokoudes, Manager Cyprus of British Airways who will discuss “Equality in Practice – Equality in Opportunities.”

The evening will end with a discussion, coordinated by Sigma TV presenter Maria Charitonos.
