Cyprus sculptor to make biggest key in the world

Cypriot sculptor Evagoras Georgiou “Evans” will try once again to enter the Guinness Book of Records, this time with the largest key in the world, having already built the largest lock.

The official presentation of the key which Evans has made, will take place on September 20 at the Yermasogia tourist area, east of Limassol, and will be placed outside the Mesogios Shore Habitat building complex.

Speaking to the press, Christakis Athanasiou of the Athanasiou Construction & Development Company which commissioned the construction of the key, said the key is six metres high and weighs 3.5 tones and will be a unique work of art for the Limassol coastal avenue.

Evans said that metal and stainless steel were used to make the key which is in three parts and will be joined together and presented during the official presentation.

Evagoras Georgiou is already in the Guinness Book of Records for building the biggest lock in the world.
