Cyprus to host sport management congress

Cyprus will play host to the 14th European Association for Sport Management (EASM) Congress, to be held in Nicosia between 6-9 September 2006.

The Congress, co-organised by the Cyprus Sport Organisation and Intercollege, will attract researchers, scientists and practitioners from Europe and around the world.

Participants will share knowledge, experiences and expertise in the area of sport management and marketing.

The Congress will deal with themes such as community recreation and sport development, leisure and sport tourism, government policies and perspectives on sport, e-business and sport marketing, management issues for sport organisations and elite sport systems, sport economics and finance, global sport development issues, growth challenges and issues in professional sport, gender and ethical issues in the sport industry.
