Poland and Cyprus in energy, commerce talks

Cyprus and Poland are in talks about co-operation on a range of issues, including energy, it emerged on Thursday.

The recently appointed Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Antonis Michaelides, met Poland’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Zbigniew Szymanski, yesterday in order to exchange views on how to enhance relations.

In statements made after the meeting, Michaelides said they discussed commerce, tourism, mutual investments and how the two countries can work practically in the field of energy.

Szymanski also expressed Poland’s desire to promote tourism between the two countries.

“We have reached the conclusion that we must raise tourism between the countries,” he said.
