Cyprus and Romania sign memorandum of cooperation

A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Republic of Cyprus and Romania. The protocol aims to promote cooperation in the areas of trade, industry, tourism, investment, agriculture, transport, science and research.

It was signed during the 12th Meeting of the Permanent Intergovernmental Cyprus – Romania Committee, established on the basis of the Agreement on Economic, Industrial and Technical Cooperation between the two countries.

Last week a delegation from the Romania spoke to a Cypriot and international audience about investment opportunities in Romania.

An official press release relating to the memorandu, of cooperation says that the two sides reviewed their financial, commercial and other relations and expressed the wish and the determination to further develop bilateral ties in other areas.

They also agreed that there are prospects for enhancing commercial and economic links.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuing contacts between the Cypriot and the Romanian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The protocol was signed by Director General of the Cypriot Programming Buero Andreas Moleskis and Director General of the Romanian Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Zsolt Bogos.
