Papadopoulou to head HFC

Antigoni Papadopoulou will be the new Chairperson of the House Finance Committee replacing fellow DIKO deputy Aristos Chrysostomou who failed to get elected to the House on May 21.

The Deputy Chairman of the powerful HFC will be DIKO newcomer, Nicholas Papadopoulos, replacing fellow DIKO MP Zacharias Koulias who will take up the Chair of the House Communications Committee, replacing outgoing DIKO MP and party vice president Nicos Pitokopitis who also failed to get elected.

The other members of the HFC are: AKEL — Stavros Evagorou, Yiannos Lamaris, Dinos Hadjinicolas and Sotiroula Charalambous; DISY — Maria Kyriakou, Lefteris Christoforou and Ionas Nicolaou; DIKO — Athena Kyriakidou; EDEK — Marinos Sizopoulos and George Varnavas; Evroko — Rikkos Erotokritou.
