— Women aged 25-45 are best clients

Top Kinisis Public Co. Ltd., the largest Cyprus travel sales group, has unveiled its state-of-the-art online reservation and sales website for airline tickets, hotels, packages and other leisure services

The comprehensive system also includes a service that allows the booking of a seat or table at any of the leading Athens night clubs, a popular weekend break for many Cypriots.

Akis Kelepeshis, Top Kinisis Chairman said at a news conference that the web site (www.topkinisis.com) has been under development for the past three years, in association with Intracom of Greece.

The system allows visitors to choose from a variety of services including air tickets for all scheduled airlines, charter flights, reservations in selected hotels around the world, organised excursions, car rentals, cruises and other special offers and specialised services.

The system also allows travel agents that are associates of Top Kinisis to make their reservations through the site on a secure page.

“Last summer, our associates booked CYP 1.5 mln in sales through the web site, making up 25% of our summer season sales,” said Kelepeshis.

Top Kinisis Executive Director, Dinos Kakkouras explained that the system is interactive and allows the user to confirm his or her selected reservations in real time and choose the way in which their documents are delivered. It is a complete, user-friendly system, considered to be among the best in Europe, he explained.

“We are confident that the system will meet the needs of the Cyprus market and give the opportunity to our clients to view their options, plan their travel arrangements and make their purchases online, in a secure way, from the comfort of their home or office, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”

“Our aim is to continuously upgrade our services, which is empowered and extended through our website’s global presence on the Internet, confirming our organisation as a pioneer in the travel industry.”

Kakkouras said that the number of web users is on the rise in Cyprus with women, aged between 25 to 45, making the bulk of on-line reservations, which are steadily climbing.

“During the summer, at any point of time, there were more than 200 persons on the site checking offers, searching for travel ideas and comparing prices, with more than 10% eventually deciding to close a deal online,” said Kakkouras.
