A South Korean man died from exhaustion after spending days on end playing computer games, the second such case in under six months.

The 38-year-old spent 10 days playing online computer games in an Internet cafe in the coastal city of Incheon, before collapsing from exhaustion in front of the computer screen last Thursday evening after a 31-hour-long uninterrupted session.

Doctors believe he suffered a heart attack.

The man, who apparently took casual jobs, ate only instant noodles during his last days, an employee at the Internet cafe said.

The authorities said he had no fixed address after being thrown out of his accommodation by his sister.

This is second death this year in South Korea involving protracted computer game sessions.

In August a 28-year-old man died after a two-day-long game with no breaks. (dpa)
