International Police Association in Limassol

The International Police Association festivities began in Limassol on Wednesday.

Welcoming delegates Justice and Public Order Minister Doros Theodorou said that the main aim of the police is to offer services to their fellow human beings and to their country and that this is achieved under difficult and adverse conditions.

Police Chief Tasos Panayiotou said that at a time when organised crime and international terrorism is increasing worldwide and the police acquire additional and more demanding responsibilities, the activities of IPA are focused on maintaining contacts and exchange of opinions and ideas.

Festivities began yesterday and will conclude on Wednesday, 9 November. Participants will tour historic landmarks in the government-controlled areas of the Republic.
