Cyprus de-mining continues

The Partnership For the Future Mine Action Cell’s started mine clearance operations in Kaimaikli and Skouriotissa on 11 July at 7am.

A safety cordon of 100m will be placed around the minefield during normal working hours from 0700 to 1630. Some road closures might be necessary for mine clearance operations. Detour directions will be posted, hence ensuring a safer and faster operation. For security reasons, the De-mining programme asks the public to comply with the instructions of the relevant authorities.

The programme funded by the European Union is operating for the third time in the areas Kaimakli and first time in Skouriotissa.
