Cytanet launches Wi-Fi zone

Cytanet, the Internet division of CyTA has launched its new Wi-Fi zone aimed at businesses and corporations in their attempt to attract customers.

The service is based on high speed, wireless open/public Wi-Fi networks which can be installed in hotels, cafes, conference centres and other public areas, Cytanet said in an official statement. These networks can be installed on any company’s premises, enabling quick and easy wireless Internet access to its customers, for Net surfing and using e-mail services.

Any customer on a Wi-Fi zone network can obtain Internet access via a laptop or PDA with access codes found on pre-paid Internet cards.

Cytanet has created three special packages: Basic, Silver and Gold. These include access point installation, Internet access, IP network administration and customer access administration. A company can choose the package that meets best its particular needs and preferences. The Basic package costs CYP 100 in connection fees while the Silver and Gold packages cost CYP 100 in connection fees plus CYP 100 IP Network Administration.

The connection charge to Cytanet via Cyta’s Netrunner service for Business Lite is CYP 50 and for Business is CYP 200 per month.
