Cyprus industrial turnover sharply up in January

The Industrial Turnover Index (comprising Mining and Quarrying, Manufacturing, Electricity, Gas and Water Supply) for January 2007 reached 120.2 (Base 2000=100), recording an increase of 12.0% over to January 2006.

For Manufacturing, the Index for January 2007 reached 111.1, also recording an increase of 12.0% compared with January 2006.

Industrial production in the same period rose by 2.4%, while manufacturing production rose by 1.1%.
