CYPRUS: Trade deficit continues in January

Exports amounted to EUR 200 mln in January, an increase of 17%, according to Eurostat, of which 100 mln went to the EU (a 57% increase) and 100 mln to the rest of the world (a -2% decrease).


Total imports amounted to EUR 600 mln (a -2% decrease), of which 400 mln came from the EU (a 18% increase) and 200 mln from the rest of the world (a -23% decrease).  That resulted in a trade deficit of 400 mln in January, (stable compared to January 2017).
