SHIPPING: Managing 45 ships, FML marks 10 years in Cyprus

The senior management team, customers, partners, government and other state officials and representatives from the island’s shipping industry and business community celebrated the achievements of Fleet Management during a celebration of its tenth anniversary in Cyprus.

The highlight of the celebrations was a cocktail party and dinner held at the Hilton Park Nicosia attended by 350 guests including Transport Minister Marios Demetriades, India’s High Commissioner Ravi Bangar and a number of shipowners (customers), including Alterna Capital, Aslan Shipping, Chemship BV, K Line Bulk Shipping (UK), Spar Shipping, Laskaridis Shipping, Mano Maritime, Nicholas Moundreas, Nordic Shipping, Seven Seas, Tristar Transport, Tufton Oceanic, Unico Marine and UACC.

Sunil Kapoor, Director of Fleet Management Cyprus (FML) welcomed the guests and gave special thanks to the guests visiting from abroad.  After a brief synopsis of the challenges and milestones in the last decade, he highlighted this year’s 30% growth and talked on the expansion plans in the near future. 

Kishore Rajvanshy, Managing Director of Fleet Management (Hong Kong) appreciated the hard work by the team in Fleet Management Cyprus and praised their sharp focus on client satisfaction and drive to exceed owners’ expectations to achieve growth and managing 45 ships, a laudable feet in this extremely competitive market.

Minister Demetriades highlighted the importance of the investment and trust in Cyprus and the positive impact to the economy and the maritime cluster with the continual growth of FML.   The Chairman of the Cyprus Investment and Promotion Agency (CIPA), Christodoulos Angastiniotis presented FML Ship Management Ltd with an award to celebrate this anniversary and gave a speech highlighting the important role the company has played in the local economy and how it is also a great ‘Ambassador’ of Cyprus.
