As part of the established framework of political consultations, the tripartite meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Greece, Cyprus and Egypt will take place on 29 October in Nicosia.

The ministerial meeting, according to an official statement, is a continuation of the contacts the three Ministers had in New York last month in the framework of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting will also serve to prepare the High Level meeting of the three governments which will take place in Cairo on 8th November.

At the Nicosia meeting, the Ministers of Cyprus, Greece and Egypt, Ioannis Kasoulides, Evangelos Venizelos and Sameh Hassan Shoukry, respectively, will discuss cooperation in a number of fields, examining at the same time further ways to expand them in the fields of energy, security and tourism.

Discussions will centre on finding the role which the three countries can play in maintaining conditions of security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean and will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common interest.

Kasoulides will host a lunch in honour of his counterparts from Greece and Egypt while the three Ministers will make statements to the press after their meeting.

The Foreign Ministers will also hold separate bilateral meetings while Venizelos and Shoukry will be received by President Nicos Anastasiades.
