The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation has announced the sixth competition for entrepreneurs – the Stelios Award for Business Cooperation in Cyprus – with a view to promote island-wide, bi-communal business cooperation between Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot entrepreneurs by giving promising ventures the funding boost they need to grow.

Up to ten awards of 10,000EU each are presented to those teams which best demonstrate bi-cultural teamwork and mutual trust at an annual event in Cyprus organized by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, according to a press release issued by the Foundation.

The awards will be given out in mid October in Nicosia by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou.

Since 2009, more than 1,200.00 euro has been awarded to partnerships which have proven that bicommunal cooperation can yield results.

The deadline for applications expires on 15 September.
