CIPA sees “keen interest” among foreign investors for Cyprus

The Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) has said that there is keen interest among foreign investors to invest in Cyprus, a conclusion emanating from a number of international conferences in Russia, the U.S. and China.
According to an announcement, CIPA’s delegation headed by President Christodoulos Angastiniotis and Director General Charis Papacharalambous participated in “Cyprus Economic & Investment Summit” that took place in Moscow, at December 10.
In the framework of the summit, Finance Minister Harris Georgiades briefed the participants on the positive evaluations of the Cypriot economy and on the current situation of the economy. At the same time, CIPA presented the advantages of Cyprus as a destination for foreign investments.
According to CIPA’s announcement, the participants in the summit showed a vivid interest on gathering information about Cyprus and its investing environment.
CIPA also took part in the 7th Global Residence & Citizenship Conference, which took place in the U.S. on 21-22 November. CIPA’s representative in the conference, Lefteris Eleftheriou presented the options provided by the Cyprus legislation on programmes of citizenship and permanent residence permit, which is very popular among foreign investors.
Members of CIPA also attended the "China Overseas Investment Fair” and “Luxury Showcase Properties” (LPS) that took place in Beijing and Shanghai, respectively.
