Cyprus industrial production down 17% in May

The industrial production index recorded an annual drop of 16.8% in May 2013 compared with May 2012, Cyprus Statistical Service data published on Tuesday show.
According to the data the index of industrial production for May 2013 reached 75.4 units (base 2005=100), recording a decrease of 16.8% compared to May 2012.
For the period January – May 2013, the index recorded a decrease of 13.0% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The index for May 2013 in manufacturing reached 71.0 units, recording a decrease of 19.3% compared to May 2012.
