Exports up, imports down in Jan-Oct

Total imports / arrivals in November reached EUR 454.4 mln according to preliminary data, of which EUR 287.0 mln were arrivals from other Member States of the EU and EUR 167,4 mln imports from third countries.
Total exports/dispatches in November amounted to EUR 113.7 mln, of which EUR 62.0 mln were dispatches to other Member States of the EU and EUR 51.7 mln exports to Third Countries.
Revised figures for October show that total imports/arrivals January-October 2012 fell to EUR 4,863.0 mln compared with EUR 5,275.3mln in January-October 2011.
Total exports rose to EUR 1,208.2 mln compared with EUR 1,168.3 mln in January-October 2011.
The trade deficit therefore shrank to EUR 3,654.8 mln in January-October 2012 from EUR 4,107.0 mln in the corresponding period of 2011.
