Cyprus trade deficit shrinks in October

The trade deficit shrank to EUR 373,839 in October according to preliminary figures, from EUR 388,536 in October 2011.
For the period January-October, the deficit dropped to EUR 3.65 bln from EUR 4.11 bln in the same period of 2011.
According to revised data for January-September 2012, total imports amounted to EUR 4,356.1 mln compared with EUR 4,771.7 mln in January-September 2011.
Total exports/dispatches rose to EUR 1,080.8 mln from EUR 1,053.3 mln in January-September 2011.
The trade deficit for this period fell to EUR 3,275.3 mln compared with EUR 3,718.4 mln in the same period of 2011.
