Greek Deputy Foreign Minister to hold contacts in Cyprus

Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Konstantinos Tsiaras is visiting Cyprus August 28-30 in order to address the four-day conference of the Central Councils of the World Federation for Overseas Cypriots (POMAK) and of the International Coordinating Committee “Justice for Cyprus” (PSEKA), which begin Tuesday afternoon.

He will also hold contacts with the political leadership and Archbishop of Cyprus.
According to his official programme, in the evening Tsiaras will attend a reception given by Foreign Minister Erato Kozakou Markoullis whereas earlier he will meet with President of Democratic Rally (DHSY) Nicos Anastasiades and Chairman of the House Committee on Educational Affairs Nikos Tornarites.

Tomorrow morning Tsiaras will visit the ELDYK (Hellenic Force in Cyprus) military camp in Malounta, the Makedonitissa Tomb, where soldiers who lost their lives during the 1974 Turkish invasion are buried as well as the graves of Greek Cypriots hung by the British during the anti-colonial struggle in the mid 50s.
Later on Tsiaras will meet with the President of the Republic Demetris Christofias, Archbishop Chrysostomos, House President Yiannakis Omirou, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and representatives of overseas Cypriots.

He will also attend a reception hosted by President Christofias at the Presidential Palace.
Tsiaras will be departing Cyprus Thursday morning.
