Petroleum sales up only 1.4% in Jan-Nov

Sales of petroleum products rose by 1.4% compared with the corresponding period of the previous year in January – November 2011, according to the Statistical Service.
Compared with the previous month, total sales of petroleum products fell by 2.4%
The Statistical Service said that a “considerable decrease” was recorded in the sales of Unleaded Motor Gasoline, Gasoil Low Sulphur, Aviation Kerosene and Gasoil for Marine use.
By contrast, an increase was recorded in the sales of Gasoil, Kerosene and Liquefied Petroleum Gases.
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of the month recorded an increase of 8.6% compared to the previous month.
