Cyprus construction costs up 2.5% in Jan-Sep

The Price Index of Construction Materials for September 2010 reached 121.06 (base year 2005=100.00), recording an increase of 0.15% over the previous month.
For the period January – September 2010, the index recorded an increase of 2.48% compared to the same period last year.
The main increase has been in the price of metallic products, which rose by 4.4% over the year earlier in the first nine months.
Minerals rose by 3.0%, while mineral products rose by 1.3%.
The price of electromechanical products increased by 1.7%, while the smallest increase was for products of “wood, insulation materials chemicals and plastics”, prices of which rose by 0.8%.
