Cyprus motor registrations rise by 3.8% in October

Registrations of motor vehicles increased by 3.8% over the same month of the previous year in October, to 5,546, compared with 5,344 in October 2007.
Registrations have been somewhat erratic this year, having risen by 31.9% in September, fallen by 6.0% in August, risen by 18.2% in July and fallen by 2.2% in June.
However, for the first ten months of the year the general trend is upwards. Registrations rose by 6.4% compared with the year-earlier period to 59,423, from 55,859 in January – October 2007.
In the same period private saloon cars increased by 3.3% to 42,993 from 41,628 in January – October 2007.
