Cyprus industrial turnover up 13.3% y/y in June

The industrial turnover index for Cyprus reached 170.0 (base 2000=100) in June 2008, recording an increase of 13.3% compared with June 2007.
Industrial output in June 2008 rose by 3.9% year on year.
Industrial turnover comprises three subsectors: mining and quarrying, manufacturing, and electricity, gas and water supply).
For the period January-June 2008 the index recorded a rise of 14.3% compared with the same period of the previous year.
Industrial output in the same period rose by 3.9%.
For manufacturing, the index for June 2008 reached 161.4, recording an increase of 10.9% compared to June 2007.
