Cypriot FM to pay working visit to Spain

Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs departs tomorrow for Madrid, Spain, on a working visit, during which he will have talks with his counterpart Miguel Angel Moratinos.

The talks will focus on bilateral relations and will cover European issues, such as the Barcelona Process-Union for the Mediterranean, as well as regional issues such as developments in Georgia and the Middle East.

From Mardid, Kyprianou will depart on Friday for Avignon, France to participate in the two-day EU informal General Affairs and External Relations Council (Gymnich), which will focus on the situation in Georgia, Afghanistan and Pakistan, relations between Russia and the EU and the peace process in the Middle East.

European Foreign Ministers will also discuss the European Security Strategy and transatlantic relations.
